V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to support our client! We are looking for detailed oriented, caring and passionate individuals who are ready to provide the best possible care and service to those in need in the D.C. area. The LPN shall perform nursing care activities for clients as assigned. The ideal candidate will contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clients’ care.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Safeguarding the rights of the client and protecting all client information in a confidential manner quickly and politely.
• Client assessment and clinical notes with the inclusion of vitals are complete, appropriate for client and submitted in accordance with agency policy.
• Ensuring proper use of electronic devices and maintaining entries that are confidential.
• Documenting client education is throughout client chart, including referrals to other services..
• Identifying and prioritizing problems/nursing care needs of all assigned clients.
• Identifying changes in client conditions and modifying nursing care plans.
• Correctly administering and documenting medications under RN supervision
• Experience with ventilators, trach, and/or G-tube highly desired.
• Abiding by all safety and environmental concerns in the home per agency policy and procedures are followed and documented.
• Appropriate response to emergency needs is met without delay. Must be able and know how to dial 911.
• Maintaining a positive, courteous attitude with the physician to promote a good relationship with client, physician, and nursing staff.
• Timely complete, concise, accurate and legible documentation is maintained in all records and reports including MARs, narcotic, and vent measurements as appropriate.
• Reporting all unsafe nursing practices and irregularities in compliance with established standards of care, policies Licensed Practical Nurse - Per Diem in D.C. - (230001CC).
• When requested, assist with learning experiences for new HHA Aides and takes responsibility for client’s welfare as new HHA Aide is assisted.
• Incident reports are completed accurately and promptly.
• All charges are appropriately entered on charge sheets and charged out appropriately.
• Complete and maintain skills according to Home Care regulations.
• All clinical skills as demonstrated on the skills assessment & demonstration check list (completed during new hire orientation)

Preferred Skills:

• One to two years of home care/pediatric experience.
• Bilingual.

Requirements:

• Must be a certified/licensed Practical Nurse in the District of Columbia or Maryland.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Computer Literacy.
• Satisfactory completion of all background checks and medical testing prior to hire .
• Must be fully COVID-19 and 2023 Flu vaccinated.

Location: Washington D.C. or Maryland – candidate must live in the DMV area.
